We love coffee. It's something that transcends cultures and language and brings people who are worlds apart to the same table to slurp side-by-side. I’m sure you have looked at a bag of delicious coffee and seen countries or regions like “Ethiopia” or “Honduras”. It’s crazy, but when we say "Ethiopia" we actually mean that a man or woman on the other side of the world went out into a farm/finca and picked that coffee warming your hands. That beverage that was once part of the earth was harvested, washed then dried, packed then shipped, roasted then brewed by you or your barista and poured into your cup. So in a way, you and that farmer are connected. Their care and attention and cultivation of what they love is now sitting in your mug. Just being part of that of the simple pleasure of drinking coffee, connects you to harvestors, families, and communities you will probably never meet.
Now that's something to drink to.
